The Model
Masters trained for free are asked to train youth for free in return — a multiplying model that has grown from one salon into a nationwide network.
Foundation teams enter communities across the country to identify less-privileged youth who are willing and able to learn a trade.
Youth are registered with the consent of their parents or guardians and asked to name their preferred area of interest.
Trainees are placed with a vetted master or professional in their trade and region, for a minimum two-year training period — often with accommodation, feeding, and medical care included.
Masters and professionals receive free skills-upgrading workshops of their own, in exchange for agreeing to train youth at no charge — the reciprocal core of the model.
Trainees are prepared for and sit the NVTI examination, gaining nationally recognized certification in their trade.
Graduates receive start-up support to launch independently — equipped to create employment for themselves and, in time, for others.
